Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 6, 2026

Practice More is built privacy-first. The short version: your practice data stays on your device, we have no servers that hold it, and we don't track you. Two anonymous exceptions, both described below and neither tied to your identity: usage analytics, which you can switch off, and crash reports.

What stays on your device

iCloud sync

If you are signed in to iCloud, Practice More syncs your library — songs, sessions, recordings, scores and backing tracks — across your own devices using CloudKit. That data is written to your private iCloud database, which belongs to your Apple Account. We have no access to it and cannot read it. It is covered by Apple's privacy policy, and you can turn iCloud off for Practice More at any time in iOS Settings.

Microphone

Practice More asks for microphone access only to power the tuner, the recorder, and the latency calibration used to keep overdubs in sync. Audio is processed on-device. Nothing is streamed anywhere. Recordings are saved only when you press record, and are stored on your device.

Purchases

Tuner and metronome are free; other features require a purchase, with a 14-day free trial. On iOS, iPadOS and macOS, purchases are billed and processed by the Apple App Store; on Android, by Google Play. We use RevenueCat as a client-side purchase processor to confirm and restore what you bought — it reads your anonymous purchase/entitlement status from Apple or Google, never your card details. On Windows, purchases are billed by Lemon Squeezy, our reseller of record: you buy in your browser and receive a license key by email, and Lemon Squeezy processes that transaction under its own privacy policy. We never see or store your payment card details on any platform.

Analytics

Practice More includes an optional product-analytics integration (PostHog, hosted in the EU) on every platform. It records anonymous, aggregate feature usage — which screens and tools get opened — with no personal data, no advertising identifiers, and no session recording. It is on by default and can be switched off at any time in Settings → Help improve the app.

Crash and error reporting

When the app hits an unexpected error, it sends a technical report to Sentry (hosted in the EU) so the fault can be found and fixed without you having to notice it, remember it and describe it. A report contains the error itself, where in the code it happened, and which app version and platform it happened on. It contains nothing about you and nothing of what you were working on: no personal data, no account (there isn't one), no screenshots and no session replay — a screen of this app is somebody's sheet music, and we don't collect it.

This website

practicemore.app is a static site hosted on Netlify. Netlify's servers log standard technical data (IP address, browser) for security and performance, as any web host does. The unsubscribe page uses a Netlify-hosted form: the email address you submit there is used only to remove you from our mailing list.

Email from us

We sometimes email music teachers and other professionals directly to introduce Practice More, on the basis of our legitimate interest in reaching people the app is relevant to. Every such email includes a way to opt out, and you can unsubscribe any time at practicemore.app/unsubscribe or by writing to support@practicemore.app. If you're a customer or have written to support, we keep that correspondence to help you.

What we don't do

Children

Practice More is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new date.
